The goal
of the PADI Instructor Development Course is to prepare instructor
candidates to function as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.
The Instructor
Development Course is designed to further develop the leadership
and teaching abilities of candidates to instructor level and
prepare them to begin teaching PADI courses after successful
completion of a PADI Instructor Examination.

Prerequisites
- 18 yrs of age
- PADI Divemaster
or equivalent
- Current Medical
Clearance within last 12 months
- Have been a
certified diver for at least six months and have completed

least 60 scuba dives showing experience in night diving,

diving and underwater
navigation

IE Prerequisites
- To attend an
Instructor Examination (IE), the instructor candidate must have

- Submit proof
of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months.
